Inspections

A professional roof inspection and evaluation can be a valuable tool during real estate negotiations, or for your own peace of mind. When other building tradespeople have been on roof areas to access their work (painters, window or siding installers, etc.,) Evergreen Roofing can inspect for incidental cuts, punctures or other compromises to the roof system or flashing that could lead to potential damage. During an inspection, the professionals at Evergreen Roofing will evaluate the entire roof system, including vents, pipes, and flashings. We then provide you with an unbiased report regarding the remaining roof service life, budgeting for repairs, or a complete roofing system.

General Maintenance

At Evergreen Roofing, no job is too small or too big. From caulking a small hole to replacing an entire industrial roofing system; our team at Evergreen Roofing does it all. Here in the Willamette Valley moss can be a real problem, making routine roof inspections and maintenance an important part of protecting the integrity of a roofing system. To ensure the most value from your roofing system investment, we offer residential and commercial maintenance services. Protect your investment with our regularly scheduled maintenance program.

Moss Removal

In extreme cases physically removing moss from shingles may be an option. In lieu of pressure washing, which can damage roofing material, light manual clean can be performed, followed by a zinc treatment to keep the moss at bay. Moss removal not only prevents an unattractive appearance that can reduce property values, it also prevents damage to the roof material.

Leaf and Debris Removal

Pooling water and trapped moisture encourages moss growth and breakdown of shingles that can damage roofing systems. Leaf and debris removal as part of general roof maintenance is essential for roofs to effectively shed water.

Gutter Cleaning

As part of a general roof maintenance plan, Evergreen Roofing recommends twice yearly cleaning of gutters for optimal performance. Gutters free of debris are able to effectively carry water away from the structure. Talk to our representatives about gutter screens and other filtration system options.

Roof Repairs

At Evergreen Roofing, no job is too small or too big, from caulking a small hole to replacing an entire industrial roofing system; our team at Evergreen Roofing does it all.

Replacements

Even with a regular scheduled maintenance program in place, a roof will leak when the existing roofing system is beyond its serviceable life. When this occurs, the cost of temporary solutions may not be justifiable. At Evergreen Roofing, issues related to time of year, occupancy, building code requirements, budget, and the owner's intended use of the building will be addressed. These concerns, along with a physical investigation of the existing system to address technical issues, provides the necessary information to help us best select a roofing system that will meet the owners objective. Replacements include: Composition shingles, single-ply roof membranes PVC & TPO, metal, built up roofing with modified bitumen, tile, and wood shake and shingle.

Repairs

Inspection for repair of an existing roof system, replacing of an existing roof system, or replacing an entire roof system is dependent upon a physical case-by-case evaluation; wherein, the remaining serviceable life is estimated and the client's short and long-term objectives are considered.

Roof repair can be related to impact (hail, or fallen tree limbs), replacing flashings to eliminate water leakage (vents, skylights, chimney, drains, etc.), or a single incident of poor installation. Often we can restore the original service life of the roofing system for a fraction of the cost. When roof damage and deterioration is due to long-term lack of maintenance or the advanced age of a roof, it becomes difficult to justify the cost of repair. If damage is extensive, a temporary fix (application of a coating) is only a short-term option until a complete replacement of the roofing system can be completed.

Evergreen Roofing makes every effort to immediately identify the cause of water leakage on the first visit; still, it can be difficult to assess the leak source. Sometimes, more than one visit is necessary to discover the entry point of the leak and make the repair. We make every effort to keep overall repair costs to a minimum. We use our experience and expertise to determine the most obvious reason water is intruding and expand from there only as needed until the leak is repaired.
